Hopkirk leaves it late
David Hopkirk scored a stoppage-time equaliser as Annan held Elgin to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling encounter.
The first half was a scrappy affair with few clear-cut chances but the game came to life after the interval.
Annan took the lead in the 69th minute when Iain Chisholm found the top corner from 18 yards.
Elgin hit back eight minutes later when Gavin Morrison's 25-yard free-kick found the top corner of Alex Mitchell's net.
City thought they had won the game when Dennis Wyness scored his fourth goal of the season from close range in the last minute, but Annan had other ideas.
Hopkirk drilled the ball past Joe Malin from 18 yards out in the first minute of added time to steal a point for his side.
